Hello, bookish friends!
As you know, I adore writing stories about shapeshifter girls and beautiful crow boys. But sometimes it’s fun to return to the classics, you know? I’ve had a lot of mythical beasts crawling through my reading list lately, too, so I think my eye was already primed to jump on these fantastic dragon finds. (I’m not affiliated with any of these shops, by the way; I just thought these things were pretty and thought you might like them, too! 🙂 )
A Dragon Shop to Adorn Yourself
This shop has really cool pins of dragons in different styles. Western dragons, Asian dragons, Aztec dragons, and even sea serpents! I feel like the Game of Thrones style dragons are really in right now, so it’s nice to see a wide variety of scaly possibilities. (Etsy page here.)
A Dragon Shop for Yer Grog (or Coffee or Tea)
There are a LOT of dragon shops with mugs out there, but I especially like the handmade ones in this Etsy shop. Doesn’t the art look like it’s from an old wood carving or etching from long ago? I get kind of an Old English or Norse vibe from it–swoon! (Etsy page here.)
A Dragon Shop for Writers
This dragon shop (and journal shop in general) has some pretty slick notebook designs. Personally, I love these kinds of journals — the ones that look like they belong in a dusty, forgotten library or in the beat-up satchel of a 19th century explorer. As a bonus, this shop also sells notebook refills–that way you can add more pages once you’ve filled your dragon journal to the brim with fantastic adventures. (Amazon page here.)
A Dragon Shop for your Viking Friends
This dragon claw necklace looks rad, plus someone left a review that said it is “perfect for all my Viking friends”. So if you know someone shipping out to Greenland — or maybe just settling in to read Sky in the Deep — this might be the dragon shop item to give him or her the courage needed to see the journey through 😉 (Amazon page here.)
A Dragon Shop for Book Lovers
And of course, no dragon shop tour would be complete without a bookish item! This is one of my personal all-time favorites: Dragonology: The Complete Book of Dragons. It’s full of luscious illustrations and is presented as “the long-lost research of renowned nineteenth century dragonologist Dr. Ernest Drake”. It’s one of those rare books that you can enjoy either as a kid or an adult–it’s just that well done! (Amazon page here.)
Thanks for coming with me on this dragon shop tour! If you liked this, be sure to check out my fabulous journey through some beautiful unicorn shops!
